To Bring Online TV to Netherlands, TSS Takes a Narrowstep

Signs of progress

Benelux-based TSS Cross Media Group has inked an agreement with Narrowstep, which is based in London and New York, to provide online television solutions to telecom firms, broadcasters and advertisers.

The agreement also covers opportunities to monetize video content online.

The Narrowstep platform supports over 180 channels, with clients including Virgin Media, ITV Local and the Sci-Fi Channel. The agreement empowers TSS clients — including Nickelodeon, Canal+, RTL (Germany and the Netherlands) and Discovery (Norway and Denmark) — to use the Narrowstep platform to enrich their online offerings with the glories of quality video.

In early '07, Narrowstep helped provide wholesale internet TV to network operators, ISPs and content providers via Dutch telecom firm KPN.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
