Revolution: Times appoints debut marketing manager for Online
As British newspapers only recently embraced websites as a potentially lucrative distribution medium, The Times of London is finally appointing its first marketing manager for Times Online. Simon Christy will take the reigns, coming previously from a web hosting firm, Active ISP. He will be counterpart to FT.com veteran Peter Bale, the editorial chief of the new online effort. The Times sees 2.4 million unique readers each month.
