Publisher Dow Jones & Co. has named Gordon McLeod president of Dow Jones Online, reports the Associated Press. He will be responsible for the Wall Street Journal Online, MarketWatch.com and Barron's Online.
McLeod is now general manager at Time Inc. Interactive and will stay in that position until Sept. 8, writes ClickZ. He will assume the newly created position at Dow Jones on Sept. 11, some five months after the departure of Nathan Richardson, who quit as Dow Jones Online's general manager. McLeod's will be an expanded role, and he does not directly replace Richardson, according to a Dow Jones spokesperson.
Prior his joining Time, McLeod served as SVP and executive producer for Grey Entertainment, a division of Grey Advertising.
