On the heels of shutting down the print version of Life, Time Inc. has announced various digital projects for its remaining publications, according to PaidContent.
Time has plans for SI.com to become a major sports news aggregator for men, a target it hopes to hit in part due to the content sharing deal it signed with NBCSports.com. It also will be adding video and social networking features to lifestyle titles such as Essence and People.
CNNMoney has been redesigned to use AJAX for automatic refreshing of data. That eliminates pageviews - which Time says were flat anyway - but could lead to deeper engagement by users due to realtime updates.
That features is one that Time is playing up to advertisers, who like the idea of constant updates.
