Online ad creation, purchase and placement platform TargetSpot has signed six new broadcasting partners, reports Mediaweek.
The ad stop shop enables users to build ads for insertion in streaming video, find outlets for those ads, and make the purchase. The outlets are almost exclusively sites belonging to local TV and radio stations, which use the platform to monetize their video offerings.
The six partners include radio station ownership companies NextMedia, KFMB Stations, Delmarva Broadcasting, South Central Radio Group and Keymarket Communications. inTune.fm, a Facebook application for music sharing, also signed on.
TargetSpot allows for the targeting of ads on a variety of demographic and geographic criteria.
