Survey: Blogging Tied to Developing Neighborhoods

Outside.in, a site featuring local news and blog posts covering 3,000 neighborhoods in 60 cities, found a connnection between blogging and the gentrification of communities nationwide in a recent survey, according to The New York Times.

The survey was designed to find out which neighborhoods were the most blogged-about in the U.S. Clinton Hill, Brooklyn leads at number one, with the leading blog being Brownstoner.com. Brooklyn in general has high blog density.

Bloggers appear to take peculiar interest in the process of gentrification occurring in their communities, yielding more city-oriented blogs in rapidly developing areas.
Other cities that made the top 10 included Harlem, Shaw in Washington, and downtown L.A.
