Surprise! Yahoo CMO Dunaway to Join Nintendo in November

Dunaway

Former Yahoo CMO Cammie Dunaway came through with her promise to announce where she'll be headed next after she leaves Yahoo Nov. 1.

Dunaway will join Nintendo as EVP of sales and marketing effective Nov. 5, according to AdWeek. She spent four years at Yahoo, and put in another 13 at Frito Lay.

Nintendo has been hard up for marketing talent. It recently lost three top marketers after deciding to relocate from Redmond, Wash. to the Bay Area.

But the company made headlines yesterday after announcing it doubled its profits in a year, thanks in part to its new Wii console, which helped redefine the definition of the "gaming console" by appealing to all members of the family instead of just young males.
