ClickZ reports that two agencies behind the word-of-mouth campaign that helped launch The Passion of Christ are now attempting to rejuvenate their network to offer a regular viral marketing service for Christian-oriented clients. Nashville's Buzzplant viral marketing firm is again teaming with Dallas's Strategic Marketing Solutions in the joint venture to be called Ground Force Network. The group has already recruited about 1,000 volunteers - some who will receive free product samples or promotional phone calls from promoted band members and the like - to help spread the word when Ground Force asks. The company expects clients to be most interested in college and church markets.
