'Subservient President' Next Punch in Viral Political Bout

Subservient President

"Cut taxes" response

The Subservient Chicken - the Burger King viral marketing humor site - has been flattered by a spoof, the Subservient President: a rather funny portrayal of President George Bush obeying the orders typed in by site visitors. It's even funnier if you pretend you're an oil tycoon when doing so. The site fails to disclose who's behind the effort, but the domain is registered to a Steve Anderson at the Annenberg Center. MarketingVOX has queries into him as of early this morning.

A FAQ on the site states that the effort "cost about $125, including props, sandwiches, domain name, and a mini DV tape — we lose that much in a couple of hours at the dog track."

Posing a few questions to the, er, President proved addicting. "Cut taxes" was about what you'd expect. "Find Osama Bin Laden" brought a satirical magic trick, where the President took a picture of Bin Laden and magically made it into one of Sadam Hussein. Unfortunately, "Bomb France" only brought a quizzical head scratching.
