Study: Web Use Altered as Lifestyle Changes

Expected or recently experienced life changes significantly alter consumers' web usage and browsing behavior, according to a comScore study, report MediaPost and Internet Retailer. The research studied three types of Web users: those expecting a child, those recently engaged or married, and those who have recently bought their first home or moved more than 100 miles. comScore reports, for example, that out of the 10 website categories with the highest relative composition of online "expectants," seven are retail subcategories; those users are also 41 percent more likely to pay bills online.
