DM News: Survey: 84% Will Buy a Holiday Gift Online

Nielsen, in a study done for eBay, reported that five out of six Americans will buy a holiday gift online, up ten percent from last year. Almost two out of five report that they will buy at least 20 percent of their gifts online, an increase of seven percent. Interestingly more shoppers said they would spend less this year than those who said they would spend more. 27 percent said they would spend less, while only 17 said they would spend more than last year.
