Despite a recent banning in the UK and the AMA's attempt to declare video games an addiction, a new study finds massive multi-player online role-playing games may be investing young people with "vital lessons in learning about other races, the opposite sex and those with disabilities," reports The Scotsman.
The three-year study, published by Brunel University, examined 13-16-year-olds playing a leading MMORPG. The study found that the gaming actually enhanced their imagination and also allowed them to peer into other cultures they wouldn't normally come in contact with.
