StreetAdvisor Gets Facelift, Adds 'Run-of-Street' Advertising

Browsing in Brooklyn

With a host of new features, StreetAdvisor is making it easier for renters and buyers to make educated decisions about where they could live.

The overhaul enables users to review where they live in the same way as Amazon or travel review sites do, by writing about details such as traffic, noise levels and public services.

The site also added a new type of ad called StreetAdvisor Billboards, which allow advertisers to secure exclusive "run-of-street" advertising on a per city basis.

Other new features include a member recognition system, a local expert program, and a makeover to the site's Guidebooks, which favor a more wiki-based approach.
