Startup to Pay Email Users for Receiving Spam

ExtremeTech: Webmail Startup Will Pay Users To Receive Spam

A startup company is offering free email that will soon let users get paid for receiving unsolicited marketing messages. Affini, founded by the William Chang who developed the Ultraseek search engine for Infoseek, will start with email applications and plans to work itself up into a full-scale portal over the next year. Users must opt in to the spam-for-dollars scheme. They will also be able to set a price that all senders not already on a whitelist would have to pay to reach their in-boxes.
