Spot Runner has launched a site designed for political candidates, reports Broadcasting & Cable.
The political ad site is stocked with spots on education and taxes, all of which await tweaking from a creative but time-constrained candidate. The spots can be customized and aired in 24 to 48 hours and for as little as $499.
As with all Spot Runner offerings, the customizable spots can be targeted by geography and demographic.
The ad template site is expected to cull Spot Runner a share of political campaign ad spend, which is expected to reach an all-time high this year.
It may also prove attractive to candidates that are gun-shy about TV advertising, following embarrassing news about the use of stock imagery in a recent Hillary Clinton ad. The youngster spotlighted in the promotion was revealed as an adult — and an Obama supporter — today, Adrants reports.
Ad management service WideOrbit introduced a similar offering that allows candidates to create new spots, or place existing ones on local or national stations.
