Slate.com will begin offering podcasts of two or three stories per day, with DaimlerChrysler as a sponsor, writes MediaPost. Ads will appear at the beginning of each podcast and will show up throughout the Slate site. DaimlerChrysler will likely promote its Mercedes-Benz C-Class product line, to reach Slate's affluent and sizable readership. Slate had 3.8 million unique visitors in May, compared with 2.9 million in May 2004, according to comScore.
