Sony has tapped online photo sharing site PhotoBucket to help promote Spider-Man 3, reports AdWeek.
Photobucket users are able to put their pictures in a Spider-Man 3-themed slideshow window. The Spider-Man 3 logo appears in one corner, Spider-Man himself in another. The rest of the window is all webbed-up.
Ads for the promotion appear on Photobucket's front page.
This sort of partnership is being undertaken by Photobucket in a way that can provide low-interruption but high-impact brand advertising. The goal, the company says, is to enhance the user experience - not get in the way of it.
