Security Supersite: How Intolerable Are False Positives In Spam Blocking?
Columnist Larry Seltzer, a past reviewer of many anti-spam email filters, reveals the ceaseless spam-caused anguish that finally made him snap and install one of the filters, despite the fact that he knows it will block out some non-trivial quantity of important, non-spam email. His advice: do it if you must, but by all means check the blocked email folder to check on mail that might have fallen through the wrong cracks.
