Sony BMG is partnering with Dada to create an entertainment-focused media download service, reports BetaNews.

The two companies will build the new network, which enables people to share photos, videos and other media. There will also be an e-commerce component by which people can buy music, videos and ringtones.

Revenue from featured ads, and sales, will be split between the partners.

Dada, which operates a mobile and PC-friendly mobile network, will handle the web infrastructure, while Sony provides the content for sale.
