Lijit, a startup gaining traction

Social media search company Lijit has received $3.3 million in venture funding, according to TechCrunch.

The search service takes the shape of a widget that allows users to search blog publishers' posts, bookmarks, blogrolls - just about anything the publisher creates, no matter where it sits online.

The service also gives publishers valuable search stats to help optimize content.
