So Is It 'Puffin' or 'Fluffy Bunny'?

Some sites reported that the Google Desktop Search launched yesterday had been internally code named "Puffin." But flacks told the AP that the desktop play had been called "Fluffy Bunny" in the Silicon Valley halls of Google. It may be that the product had more than one code name, or perhaps there is another related product yet to bow. MarketingVOX sent queries to Google for clarification.

[Update: Google's Nate Tyler got back to us this afternoon with the details. (As it turns out, Google folks dislike talking about internal code names.) Puffin was the code name for the desk bar that was released a long ways back. Fluffy Bunny was the code name for the desktop search application released yesterday. This may prove disappointing to Google watchers who had hoped the multiple code names implied another big product soon to be released.]
