Skype Announces 100 Billion Minutes of Successful Calls

I think I can, I think I can...

Skype has served 100 billion minutes worth of Skype-to-Skype calls, according to the company's blog.

The service offers free Skype-to-Skype voice and video calls and has been around for 4.5 years.

In 2005 Skype was purchased by eBay, which made a habit of blaming stock dips and dismal financial results on the internet phone service.

As of the end of 2007 Skype had 276 million registered users, adding 30 million in Q4 alone. Recently, Sony added Skype support to its handheld PSP console.
