ClickZ: UnsubCentral, List Suppression Dynamo
Managing to control vastly complicated juggling of various email suppression lists, UnsubCentral, a division of Skylist, quickly rode the Can-Spam Act wave to build a successful business with 75 email publishing clients. ClickZ reviews the methods behind the system. CEO Josh Baer told MarketingVOX yesterday in an interview that the technologies behind the system would not need much modification to create a usable do-not-spam registry, although regulators disagree as to whether or not this would prove very useful in the fight against spam.
