Having intimately mapped the planet with Google Earth, the search engine giant is taking to the cosmos with a new offering called Sky.
Sky in Google Earth allows stargazers to explore a hundred million stars and two hundred million galaxies. The software is the result of a consortium of scientists around the world seeking to digitize the sky.
Back in March, Google was working with Hubble scientists on transferring massive approximately 120 terabytes from one place to another.
