Shoppers Favor Online, but Mostly for Supplemental Buys

iMedia: Internet Expands the Shopping Pie

A new study shows that a bare majority enjoys shopping online more than shopping offline, but that most buyers consider their online purchases to be merely supplemental to their offline shopping. They report - The PULSE survey, published by WSL Strategic Retail - that their Internet purchases mostly come in addition to things they would have bought anyway, rather than replacing bricks and mortar sales.
