SheKnows Plucks RealityTVMagazine Out of Barrel


Under new management

SheKnows, a website for women, has purchased RealityTVMagazine.com, a five-year-old property that covers reality TV shows and stars.

The acquisition is an effort to spread SheKnows' audience, composed primarily of women between ages 25 and 54, across a controlled series of niche sites.

For its part, RealityTVMagazine may prosper as a dearth of scripted programming drives more users into the arms of reality television.

"Reality TV is here to stay," asserted SVP/General Manager Mike Dodge of AtomicOnline, the parent company for SheKnows.

RealityTVMagazine is the third acquisition by SheKnows in the last three months, following LovingYou and Soaps.com. Dodge says AtomicOnline's goal is to own and operate over 100 properties by year's end — a figure that doubles its existing network.
