AudioStreet.net has agreed to join Vuguru on a quest for new musicians to populate the soundtrack to Vuguru's first series, Prom Queen.
AudioStreet.net enables musicians to create profiles and upload original music. Members can join a contest to win global exposure for their tracks on future episodes of Prom Queen, an online mystery serial that debuted in early April.
The show is comprised of 80 scripted episodes that last 90 seconds each. With its themed focus on that most critical of coming-of-age events, it currently boasts about six million viewers. MediaWeek reports MySpace contributes significantly to the show's success, yielding approximately 3.7 million of its viewers.
Vuguru, a Michael Eisner property, produces story-driven content for new media. Parent company Tornante also holds ownership stakes in Veoh Networks and Team Baby Entertainment.
