DM News: SEO Firm Settles Case With Washington AG

Search engine optimization (SEO) firm Internet Advancement settled with Washington State's attorney general over charges it failed to deliver promised services to clients. For roughly $1,000, the firm had promised many companies it could get their websites listed in the top search engine listings. Washington received more than 100 complaints. Internet Advancement was fined almost $100,000 and must make restitution to complaining customers.
