NetImperative reports on the introduction to the U.K. of search engine Seekport, which hopes to win a niche as the site that focuses on British web content. The firm currently runs search engines in France and Germany. The company hired a staff of four to keep results hygiene up and make sure that results return British material untainted by American content. Currently about one in three search results for U.K.-specific material winds up being a U.S.-based result, according to the Seekport. The company hopes to reduce that to a one-in-ten ratio.
