The American Cancer Society announced this week that its network of Second Life volunteers has raised $75,000 - equivalent to $20,172,791 Linden dollars - in its third annual virtual walk-a-thon, reports Wired.

Called Virtual Relay for Life, the walk-a-thon will take place July 27-28. Avatars will walk on a custom track in a virtual 96-acre park.
