IAR: Search Engine Throne Up for Grabs
SearchEngineWatch founder Danny Sullivan told Jupiter's SearchEngine Strategy conference attendees that this next year will be the pivotal moment for the search engine marketplace, determining which of the major players will dominate for years to come.
While Google has only a 32 percent slice of the pie, according to comScore, it has almost three quarters of the market when including other search sites that use Google's results. Yet, with Overture on a contextual ad buying spree and Microsoft again ruminating about jumping into the market, Sullivan said the market is too close to call.
