Press Release: Time for Headf**k
As further evidence of Internet culture merging with the mainstream, the Sci-Fi Channel is tonight launching a 12 episode series, called Headf**k, that is based around the most entertaining and extreme viral films and animations. They are still looking for submissions to include in the series, so if anyone has any suggestions they can send them to tanya.

Maverick Media has been commissioned by the Sci·Fi channel to produce a new viral strand for transmission as part of their new late-night series, “HEADF**K”, which premieres from Friday 12th September at 11.35pm.
‘Maverick Media Moments’ is a new venture in collaboration with many of the companies responsible for the best, funniest and weirdest viral films around. In a dedicated weekly slot, each episode of HEADF**K will bring the viewer the best viral films from the Internet in-box to the TV screen. “Whether they are pieces of bizarre reality or the more targeted output we are seeing from agencies and larger brands, we are expecting to really bring some cutting edge ideas and humour to television” commented Maverick producer Will Jeffery. “This project forms part of the wider Maverick ethos to seek out and nurture new ideas and talent, and find ways of bringing that talent to a wider audience. As part of that we welcome submissions from anyone, anywhere”.
Tune in to the Sci·Fi channel every Friday night after the movie@10pm to see the best of what is travelling around the world-wide-web. There is still time to send us your work or virals you’d like to recommend for inclusion. Crazy, weird, clever, stupid, funny, topical, intense, whatever – they just need to be good ideas.
If you think you’ve got a film that fits the bill then please get in touch with Tanya (tanya, tel + 44 (0)20 72913453) and she can give you more info.
