Acting on an insatiable acquisition itch, WPP Group has just purchased Schematic, an independent interactive agency.
Schematic's recent projects include ShopVogue.tv, an effort to drive magazine-skimming fashionistas to the online world.
The firm numbers 255 employees throughout the nation and in Costa Rica. Clients include Coca-Cola, Conde Nast, Disney, NBC Universal and Time Warner.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Some months ago WPP purchased 24/7 Real Media, quickly followed by Refinery, another interactive agency.
