Sporting updates optimized for start-up ecommerce and multi-channel marketing companies, Scene7 4.0 goes live next month.
Scene7 is a hosted rich media platform owned by Adobe. It has been implemented by clients like QVC, Levi Strauss & Co., and Macy's.
Updates include an improved interface based on Adobe Flex, tutorial resources, and a library of rich media templates. Scene7 4.0 also supports assets created on Adobe Flash CS3 Pro, Photoshop CS3, InDesign CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, and other common file types.
Small and mid-sized businesses may choose from four packages: the Small Business Dynamic Imaging Edition, the Small Business eCatalog Edition, the Small Business Media Portal Edition, and the Small Business Suite Edition, which includes dynamic content sizing, zoom, eCatalog publishing and the Scene7 Media Portal.
Enterprise customers get two options, both scalable: Enterprise Unlimited, which boasts dynamic imaging, eCatalogs and the Scene7 Media Portal; and Enterprise (standard), which does not include the Media Portal.
Scene7 4.0 "[broadens] our offerings to better support both start-up companies who have basic rich media requirements as well as large global organizations" pushing product online, said VP Doug Mack of consumer and hosted solutions.
4.0 will be available September 3 in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.
