Romney Appeals to Constituency For User-Generated Ads

Romney: seeking a frame
for his persona

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is asking supporters to create a TV ad for his campaign, reports The Washington Post.

Romney is the last and latest in a string of candidate efforts to make themselves more appealing to new media users.

The Romney campaign will make assets like photos, video and audio clips available on Yahoo. People can then use those materials, as well as their own, to create a commercial for the electoral incumbent.

Yahoo is hosting the submission platform on their video editing site Jumpcut. Submissions are due September 17th. The winning ad will run on TV at the end of September.
