Email firm Return Path announced it is buying NetCreations, a similar technology firm that concentrates on email deliverability, tracking and permission list acquisition. NetCreations President Michael Mayor will continue to lead the division and join the Return Path board of directors. Return Path CEO Matt Blumberg said NetCreations was chosen partly because of its high permission standards. NetCreations was formerly owned by Seat P.G.'s Consodata Group, which was almost entirely acquired by Acxiom Corporation earlier in 2004.
