IAR: DoubleClick Beats Predictions, Raises 2004 Guidance
The once-feared DoubleClick posted good financial results for Q4 2003 and even slightly raised expectations for its 2004 targets. But the growth is very small relative to the growth of the Internet advertising industry that DoubleClick once dominated. In the dot.com bubble bursting, DoubleClick reinvented itself as a software and services vendor, thereby avoiding the label Internet media play that at the time was so unpopular with Wall Street. But now that Internet media is growing faster than any other form, DoubleClick finds itself on a relatively slow growth track.
