It's not strictly e-marketing, but there is an inextricable relationship between media and marketing, and in media, micro-publishing is the cutting edge. Whether this will pan out as more than experiment is too early to tell, but meanwhile RedPaper is making a go of it. With backing from Adobe, the site has created a market place for people to sell personal research, recipes, how-to information, short fiction, photos and most any other intellectual property they want to offer. Prices start as low as 2 cents:
By offering them online, the RedPaper is testing the market for specialist information, ordered and paid for over the Web using a micropayment system, which long has been touted as an essential component of online publishing.
"(The RedPaper) is a combination of eBay and The New York Times," said founder and editor Mike Gaynor. "You don't have to have something valuable in your garage. You just have to have something valuable in your head."
