The business of domain brokerage is hot again, following a downturn that occurred after the Internet bust of the late '90s and early '00s. But the proliferation of online businesses and services is leading to a resurgence in the market.
Some analysts warn that the market could turn south again quickly. But quick-eyed firms are still counting on "premium" domains, such as jeans.com and other generic URLS, to fetch a pretty penny.
To illustrate, the most expensive domain names of 2005 are featured in the DN Journal. This year at least five domains have sold for over $1 million.
