The relaunched Reader's Digest website includes seven new content channels which, according to RD.com general manager Steven Schwartz, allow advertisers to connect with readers via "branded environments," MediaBuyerPlanner reports.
Content channels include a user-generated section about community activism, a section on advice and know-how, a section with articles from the current issue of the magazine, a living healthy section, and one titled "Laughs!"
In the first quarter, ad revenue for the Reader's Digest print publication was down 23 percent from the same quarter in 2007. And ad pages were down 19.4 percent, according to the Publishers Information Bureau (via Folio).
