MacCentral: Macworld CreativePro: RadioSHARK offers AM/FM for OS X

Griffin Technology just announced the creation of RadioSHARK, which they boldly describe as "exactly like a very popular TV accessory whose name we can't say… but it rhymes with Steve-O."

RadioShark will allow users "to record a scheduled show or as a way of ‘pausing’ live radio, giving you the ability to return to right where you left off moments or even hours later. It can also record audio Internet streams, either scheduled or real-time, from any streaming audio application available." Presumably ad skipping technology will be part of the package.

Whilst I don't expect this to scare Madison Avenue as much as TiVo does, this is yet another reminder that the long term future of broadcast advertising is under threat.
