Radio Stations Add More to Online

Net radio looks slightly different

A handful of recent deals and acquisitions show radio stations are furiously seeking ways to sell ads within their online streaming offerings, reports MediaPost.

In one such deal, Ronning Lipset Radio will partner with Corstarr to get access to its Adcor product. Adcor allows programmers to insert targeted ads across any number of channels they've set up.

Ads can be targeted by daypart or listener demographic.

In another such move, Net Radio Sales was purchased by Katz Media as a way to give Katz access to Net Radio's ad-insertion technology. Net Radio already provides ads for over 1,000 channels from both radio stations and online-only broadcasters.
