Quigo, CareerBuilder Form Performance-Marketing Alliance

A week after ESPN.com replaced Yahoo with pay-for-performance advertising provider Quigo, leading job site CareerBuilder has entered into a strategic pact with Quigo.

In another example of media companies selecting a private-label ad approach to leverage their brand, provide advertisers transparency and own the advertiser relationships, Quigo announced that CareerBuilder.com will deploy a customized, private-label version of Quigo's AdSonar platform on its site.

With AdSonar, Gannett-owned CareerBuilder.com will generate new revenue through an auction-based, pay-per-click program featuring content-targeted sponsored links placed by performance marketing advertisers.

"Offering this functionality provides more options for online advertisers who want to reach a vast audience of career-minded individuals," says Hope Gurion, CareerBuilder VP of business development. "With Quigo, we are now able to create opportunities for advertisers that fit a variety of budgets and business models, as well as maximize the relevancy of advertising to our visitors."

Advertisers will know which specific sites or pages their ads will run; sponsored link advertisements will be available on CareerBuilder.com with multiple targeting options, including the site's Resource Center section and specific pages and keywords. CareerBuilder and Quigo plan to integrate sponsored link ads with the Resource Center's content, serving targeted ads based on user intent.

"We are pleased to welcome CareerBuilder.com to the AdSonar network family," says Kevin Fortuna, Quigo's Vice President of Strategic Alliances. "CareerBuilder.com is a leading job search and career information site with a tremendous brand and high value traffic. By enabling them to develop new resource centers and other opportunities, we look forward to helping generate new revenue via advertising relationships they will own."
