The Mobile Marketing Association is soliciting public feedback for its global Mobile Advertising Guidelines.
Like the Interactive Ad Bureau (IAB), which releases guidelines for various forms of interactive marketing, the MMA believes unified guidelines will encourage marketers to incorporate mobile into their strategies, while ensuring a trustworthy user experience.
The following revisions have been made since the global mobile ad guidelines were first released in April:
- Added recommendation on automatic resizing of Mobile Web banner ads
- Revisions to the Multimedia Messaging Ad Unit and Aspect Ratio recommendations
- Updated best practices for Audio Formats and revised Size recommendations for Multimedia Messaging
- Improved Ad Unit and Aspect Ratio standards for Mobile Video and TV
Marketers may comment on the guidelines until 5pm GMT on September 5th, 2008. The document will be finalized after that point.
