Premiere Mag to Stop Printing, Stay Online

Up for sale earlier this year, Hachette Filipacchi Media's Premiere magazine will run its last print issue in April but will continue to drag out its existence online, according to a paidContent.org post citing a New York Post article.

paidContent's Stacey Kramer found the Premiere.com to be a little low on content: "The site has a long way to go to become more than a monthly magazine's online appendage." She also writes that Premiere's staff blog, which "launched in November, had no posts in December or January, and no mention of today's events."

Premiere is the fourth magazine that Hachette has shut down in the past year as its Paris-based parent Lagardere Group sets its sights on a more digital future, according to the Post.

Hachette shuttered Shock, Elle Girl and women's magazine For Me.
