Mobile software firm Tegic Communications, an AOL subsidiary, has launched a new mobile phone interface solution - T9 Mobile Suite 1.0 - that allows users to quickly switch among text-entry options (keypad, qwerty keyboard, and handwriting-recognition capabilities) and makes it faster and easier to input text and to browse, reports NetImperative. The solution features more intelligent text, next-word and punctuation prediction. In early 2006, Tegic plans to release version 2.0, to include advanced speech recognition.
