Spam volume in March (87 percent of all email) was 10 percent more than in March 2004 (77 percent), according to research by Postini, reports ClickZ. And spam volume may reach around 92 percent of all email by the end of the year. Nevertheless, users are less bothered by all that spam than they were last year, according to a new Pew Internet & American Life Project study. Postini's research measures the volume of email sent (before filtering), Pew's study is based on users' awareness of and attitudes toward spam.
