CNET reports Hallmark, the inventor of the modern Valentine's Day, couldn't keep its website up and working. Many people who sent an electronic Valentine's Day card found that their beloveds couldn't access them, met with the unromantic greeting, "Please try back in a little while." While that might make a nice message for a more cynical version of heart candies, it didn't do much to help put greeting card recipients in desired moods. But people proved very forgiving. Hallmark has had almost identical problems annually since the year 2000.
