Web-based audio and video search engine PodZinger announced it will launch its own ad platform and begin offering podcast and other content partners an ad revenue share program.
PodZinger plans to show 10-15-second audio or video ads and will share ad revenue with content creators who sign up for the free service, reports CNET. Ad rates will vary, with the ads being matched to the content. The new advertising platform targets video ads based on search queries and the content being viewed, writes ClickZ.
Video ads will be shown at the point of entry to each clip - which is not always the beginning, since PodZinger's technology allows playing a clip at the most relevant point.
PodZinger uses speech-recognition technology and natural-language processing to make multimedia content full-text searchable. It is now monetized via Google AdSense text ads.
