Pick a Lawyer, Any Lawyer, at WhoCanISue.com

Hoping to become the "LendingTree of legal services," attorney and web entrepreneur Curtis Wolfe touts his new project, WhoCanISue.com, as the "it site" for people seeking lawyers — and vice versa.

The site, which features an illustration of a briefcase-clutching man slipping on a banana peel, is geared to people that suspect they have grounds for a lawsuit. Each potential client takes a dynamic questionnaire whose purpose is to gauge whether a grievance is sue-worthy. If it is, users are told what type of litigation is in order and provided other basic information.

Potential plaintiffs are then presented with five names of local lawyers specializing in that particular field of law. The recommendations are buttressed by banner ads which provide more details about both lawyers and firms. (The most prominent ads belong to the highest bidders.)

Users can communicate with their potential attorneys via email or IM. They do not have to reveal any personal information and are only contacted back by the lawyers they choose, ClickZ writes.

Wolfe said the site is a sound lead-generating option for lawyers seeking prospective clients. He also insists he will not demand a "piece of the action" (i.e. a cut of the legal fees); instead, WhoCanISue will be open to a "mix" of advertisers.

The company is still gathering an effective network of attorneys, but Wolfe estimates it will be fully-operable this fall. He plans to promote it via TV, radio, and outdoor ad campaigns — as well as with heavy SEO and SEM efforts.
